Welcome to Tuesday's Angels Inc.

Founded in 1993, Tuesday's Angels Inc. began as a charity to give emergency financial assistance to those with HIV/AIDS and has evolved into a nonprofit organization that today countless people in the Fort Lauderdale seek for assistance.

A few noble Fort Lauderdale gentlemen with the goal to give immediate help to people who were not being covered by the established system decided to sponsor a monthly dinner to raise money for their cause. These dinners, held the first Tuesday of the month, brought donations from those “angels' in attendance. Thus, Tuesday's Angels was born.

Today, dinners are not the only events raising funds to help people with HIV/AIDS. Tuesday's Angels sponsors a successful golf outing in the fall, as well as, the “100 Percent Solution Bike Ride for Life,” a huge fundraiser in April, and A Celebration of Friends. Significant donations from local businesses, grants from foundations, and many, many “angels” allow us to continue helping those in our community.

What sets Tuesday's Angels apart from the crowd is the fact that 100% of all monies donated are utilized only to assist those in need. Unlike other similar organizations, every penny contributed goes toward the financial aid of the men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS, funneling all generated income back into our community. All other expenses and fees are paid either by Board Members or with interest income.

Our enthusiastic volunteers set us apart as well. We are blessed with a group of volunteers that include Board members, caseworkers, and assorted angel helpers that keep Tuesday's Angels running smoothly. Though we have a fantastic group in place; additional volunteers are always appreciated and welcome!

Over the years our clientele has expanded and so have their needs. Often people living with HIV/AIDS may be unable to work or hospitalized frequently. Subsequently, many of our clients have little or no income and find themselves in a financial bind, behind on their mortgage, utilities, medical bills, and more. We not only help with those, but many others as well. This is what makes Tuesday's Angels indispensable and further donations paramount.

Throughout our 14 years our monthly dinners have accumulated many more angels. Tuesday's Angels is fortunate to have over 300 wonderful supporters who we believe are truly heaven sent. Ongoing financial support in the form of donations is imperative to continued success.

Tuesday's Angels is one of the most successful organizations of its kind in Florida, both in terms of the vast number of people it has helped over the years, and the esteem in which it is held by other HIV/AIDS organizations.
